SACRAMENTO, CA, August 27, 2021 — Beginning Monday, August 30, most Sac State campus eateries will open for the start of the fall 2021 semester. Hornet Hospitality, operated by Aramark, is now managing many of the eateries on campus.

SACRAMENTO, CA, March 24, 2021 – Following thorough evaluation and negotiation, University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI), signed a contract to outsource Sacramento State campus dining operations to Aramark, a global foodservice provider serving hundreds of colleges and universities throughout North America.
In April 2020, UEI issued a request for proposals to several large foodservice operators. Three proposals were received, and a 15-member evaluation committee with representatives from across the campus reviewed proposals, conducted interviews, and scored each of the proposers. Aramark received the highest score, and UEI’s Board of Directors in September 2020 approved the committee’s recommendation to move forward with contract negotiations.
UEI currently operates the University’s residential dining program, most retail dining, catering, and athletic concessions. Aramark will assume operational responsibility in July 2021, extend employment offers to UEI foodservice employees, and employ students at levels equivalent to those maintained by UEI. Aramark plans to bring to campus new brands that scored high in student surveys, including Pieology and Habit Burger.

Sacramento, CA, August 25, 2020 — In light of Covid-19 health and safety measures, cash will no longer be accepted at campus dining venues. For fall 2020, The Servery at the Dining Commons and the Courtyard Market will be operating and accepting credit cards, Flex$, Apple Pay, and meal plan cards as payment. Sacramento, Calif., March 19, 2020 – Both the Servery at the Dining Commons and the Courtyard Market are currently open and operating standard hours. However, the Servery will only have “To Go” options due to CDC guidelines limiting gatherings to 10 people or less. If the on-campus resident population declines significantly, the Servery hours may be reduced or it may close and all meal service would be provided by the Courtyard Market
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, students are allowed to cancel their dining contract at any point during the rest of this semester. An exception to the licensing agreement has been made to waive the cancellation fee and reduce the standard 30-day advance notice to ten days. SACRAMENTO, Calif., November 25, 2019 — University Enterprises, Inc. recently made it convenient for students who have a meal plan to add points or Flex$ to their plan using an easy online process on the Sac State Campus Dining website. To purchase meal points or Flex$, only the student’s name, student ID number, and credit card are required to complete the transaction online.
Processing from the time of payment to loading funds on the student’s meal card is one to two business days. If funds are needed immediately, meal plan holders can visit the Meal Card Office in the Dining Commons to make a payment. This option is available to current meal plan holders only. SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 27, 2019 —Tomorrow morning from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Union, the fire marshal will conduct a mandatory inspection, which will affect the preparation and cooking of food primarily at Good Eats! and Epicure Restaurant. Foods offered at these eateries that don’t require cooking (salads and sandwiches), will be available as usual tomorrow morning. SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 26, 2019 — In April of this year, Campus Dining opened a Starbucks store in the University Union, which was in the final stages of a major renovation and expansion. With Union construction now complete, Campus Dining is hosting a grand opening celebration for the new Starbucks from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27. Food and beverage tastings and giveaways are the highlight of the event.
Campus Dining opened the first Starbucks store in 2013 in the River Front Center and manages the Starbucks Mobile Truck, which serves the campus community from two locations throughout the academic year.
SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 26, 2019 — Sac State Campus Dining is excited to announce the opening today of two, new eateries in the University Union: ACE Sushi, in the former EcoGrounds location, and Buzz Burger Bar, in the space formerly occupied by Burger King. A third new eatery, The Roost, which occupies the former Mother India space, is coming soon.
ACE Sushi will delight sushi lovers with its large and diverse menu of visually appealing, familiar, and unique sushi-inspired items, including rolls, poke bowls, and others. Buzz Burger Bar’s menu includes hearty breakfast sandwiches and burritos and a variety of mouthwatering burgers for lunch. The Roost will serve tasty chicken sandwiches, an assortment of sides and Quick Bites, plus milkshakes, ice cream, and sorbet.
